Global warming is a problem for everyone in general. Different ways of contamination such as using the car every day, do not deposit the waste in the correct place, the need to buy things that are not needed have caused the planet from choking by increased carbon dioxide (CO2).

Today some people are helping the planet with recycling programs, planting trees, vegetables for their own consumption. This also helps reduce emissions. What is needed is to make a change in culture or we will end up destroying our home.

Marriage

Marriage is a social union or legal contract between people that creates kinship. The people join as a symbol of their love, trust and respect and to create a home full of good, and in the future become a parent, to give values, traditions that are at home. The couple should think about how they will stay married, work and money to succeed.

Unit 7: Voluntary Simplicity

Simple life

Simple life is a very apt term for people who live in harmony with the environment. The simple life is a way of life in which we stopped using material things, and we start using thing "nature" provided things that do not cause damage as candles, or wood stoves. We stopped using the clothes dryer and dry naturally. Another way to live a simple life is to stop buying things that are not needed, grow their own food, recycle what you use, and save as much as possible. Today this way of life is very limited because the people live in a world of consumerism where people spend as much as they do not have, and pollute the environment endangering the planet and that at some point people will end up with the resources we have today and these will no longer be available later.

 

Unit 6: The Art of Storytelling

The storytellers are people with great imagination. They develop stories for children, and make their stories joyful or dark to attract attention. Also, the voice talent may change depending on the type of story that they are telling to be more real. A famous example of storytelling is Jackie Torrence.

Today, it is not common to see people who tell stories because it is a tradition that has been lost over the years. Before, it was very common to see moms telling stories to their children to sleep, but those traditions are lost.

Unit 5: Tourism

Tourism: Cancun

The place I want to visit in the future is Cancun. This place is considered the perfect destination for its beautiful white-sand beaches and impressive hotel zone, in addition to the various activities that can be performed as: swimming with dolphins, snorkeling and diving. Without forgetting the night life of this place which is impressive for its clubs, nightclub and bars. One of the most famous is Coco Bongo. This nightclub with contests and promotions of beers make people visit it a lot.

Language...

Language refers to the human capacity for acquiring and using systems of communication. Talking is a way to communicate and express what we want and feel. Through this, we can have a conversation with others who speak the same language.

The differences between languages do not consist only in differences in pronunciation, vocabulary or grammar, but also in different "culture” since in many countries speak different languages.

The language can also depend on economic class, age and hometown, and then people should have a clear language to communicate so well.

Unit 3: Extreme sport

Extreme Sports

Extreme sports are very dangerous and people who practice them must be in good physical condition, agility and not have heart disease. When doing these things, you feel adrenaline and fear.

People should be encouraged because these sports require a lot of strength to reach the final.

There are many extreme sports including rock climbing, skydiving, skateboarding and the ultra marathons. The latter is very strong because the place where it takes place is very difficult to practice, for example in the desert.

Fraud

     The fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual. Fraud is a crime, and also a law violation. Fraud can be committed through many media, including mail, phone, and the Internet because people give their personal information to strangers which trick saying you won a trip or money. The people fall into these traps and they are cheated.

       A very common fraud is the facts to credit cards and bank accounts. They send an email saying that the accounts are in trouble and asking personal information and passwords. Then, when they go to check their accounts they realize that their money is not there. The people should be more careful and not give information to strangers, for not to be another victim of fraud. They should check their accounts daily and get a locked mailbox.

Advertising

Advertising is a means of communication used by companies as a way to get the attention of consumers and to sell their products. The advertising is common in magazines, television, internet and radio. Companies can sell their products designed so that you have empathy with consumers. These are colorful, big, have sound effects, with promotions and often they have sense of humor.

           A common example of advertising is ads in the Coca Cola Company which seek to enter the market to sell their drinks. For this, the advertising reaches all people regardless of gender. What they want is to get more consumers to improve their sales.

My name is Sandy Mejía. I live in Guapiles. I am 21 years old. I am studying Occupational Health and I don’t work. I consider myself happy and sincere. I live with my parents, my two brothers and my nephew.

I love to dance, to listen to music, to watch T.V. and walk. I like that the people around me are sincere, friendly and intelligent. This is my second year of university.
